Kano young man who married older American woman joins US Army

Suleiman Isah, a young man from Kano State in Nigeria, who married an American woman named Janine Sanchez Reimann, has enlisted in the US Army. 

As you may recall, the 25-year-old gained media attention in December 2020 when he wed 48-year-old Janine, whom he had met on Instagram just a few months prior.

The wedding took place in the Gasau Panshekara region of Kano State on December 13, 2020.

On Friday, May 12, Suleiman took to Facebook to announce his latest accomplishment. He shared a photo of himself dressed in the US army uniform and expressed gratitude to God.

“Alhamdullillah – forever grateful,” he captioned the post.

Friends, family members, and well-wishers have flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages.
