Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwo, shared some wise advice to the up-and-coming stars in the movie industry.
At a candlelight vigil held in honor of Africa Movie Academy Awards founder Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, she emphasized that there is no need for them to relocate to Lagos or Abuja in order to be successful.

Patience encouraged them to forgo the thought that they must live in either area if they want to become popular within Nollywood.
She added that Lagos or Abuja are not the determinants of success, and they can still become stars while staying in their own states.
The thespian noted that a few actors and actresses who began their journeys in the east had moved out west after gaining recognition but had forgotten their roots.
Using herself as an example, she said, “For me, I said I am going to stay in Enugu, inside the village and when I go to Lagos, I tell them I am a village woman.
“I stay at Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State and God has shown me that you can become a star from anywhere. You don’t need to be in Lagos or Abuja”.
“If you are good enough, they will call you even from America.”
