“Why you should stop over-hyping Hilda Baci” – Actress, Esther Nwachukwu tells Nigerians (Video)

Nollywood actress, Esther Nwachukwu has stated her opinion that Hilda Baci, the 27-year-old Nigerian chef who recently achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual, is receiving excessive hype. 

Hilda, hailing from Akwa Ibom State, surpassed the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019, lasting beyond 87 hours and 45 minutes, to claim the new record on Monday, May 15.

Concluding an incredible four-day non-stop cooking marathon, Hilda achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking time, surpassing 100 hours. 

On the night of Monday, May 15, she concluded her extraordinary cooking journey. 

Hilda’s remarkable accomplishment garnered widespread celebration among Nigerians, including President Muhammadu Buhari and President-elect Bola Tinubu, who joined in applauding her achievement.

Actress Nwachukwu recently shared a video on her Instagram page, expressing her perspective that Hilda was receiving an exaggerated level of praise.

In Nwachukwu’s opinion, Hilda’s achievement was not extraordinary since there are other Nigerians, including herself, who possess the capability to accomplish a similar feat.

So, guys, it’s not only Hilda who knows how to cook. You guys are just praising Hilda. What did she even do? What did Hilda Baci do that you guys are praising her as if she’s the only person who knows how to cook in this world?

“Do you know that we have people in this country who know how to cook even more [than Hilda]? We can stand for 100 hours or even longer and cook nonstop. And that’s me. I can stand for millions of hours and cook non-stop,” she said.
