Mr. Latin, also known as Bolaji Amusan, the President of the Theatre Arts and Movies Production Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), has disclosed the reasons behind the group’s inability to offer aid to certain ailing and distressed actors within the film industry.

In a recent interview on 32FM in Ibadan, Mr. Latin revealed that TAMPAN has already utilized more than N10 million to tackle health challenges experienced by actors and underscored the association’s preparedness to provide assistance.

Nevertheless, he highlighted that TAMPAN’s inability to aid specific ailing individuals stems from their lack of involvement within the association.

According to Mr. Latin’s explanation, these actors, feeling embarrassed, refrain from approaching TAMPAN for assistance. Instead, they resort to seeking help via the internet, radio, or television, fully aware that they were not active members. Consequently, the group finds itself unable to provide them with the necessary support.

“We always come to the aid of all active members. Since I became the TAMPAN President, we have spent more than N10 million on the actors’ health challenges. The ones you see going on radio or TV to beg for money are not active members of the association.” He said.
