Linda Osifo, a well-known actress in Nollywood, recently opened up about a challenging experience she faced while living in Canada.
Being originally from Benin City, Nigeria, she moved to Canada at the age of 16. In a candid interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, she shared how racial slurs she endured made her consider skin bleaching.

The racism Linda encountered in Canada deeply affected her, as it was hurtful and came from people close to her. Chude asked her about the distressing experience, referring to instances where she was called derogatory names like “monkey.” Linda confirmed that this unfortunate occurrence was a reality in her life.
Linda went on to explain how hurtful it is when such hurtful comments come from people within your community or even your own skin tone.
This struggle impacted her during her teenage years in Canada. However, after moving back to Nigeria, Linda found solace in seeing more individuals who shared her ethnicity.
