“Waking up to cook sari is not easy” — Mercy Aigbe laments as she joins Muslim husband in Ramadan fast

Mercy Aigbe, a renowned Nollywood actress, has expressed her difficulties with the ongoing Ramadan fast through social media.

The actress, who was previously a Christian before marrying filmmaker Kazim Adeoti, a Muslim, acknowledged that waking up early to prepare Sari has been a challenging task for her.

[Sari is the food eaten early in the morning by Muslims before fasting. It’s usually consumed before dawn]

Mercy Aigbe, a mother of two, stated that fasting has been manageable, but rising early in the morning to cook has been a demanding undertaking.

Additionally, she shared a snapshot of herself sleeping while clad in an Islamic garment and disclosed that her husband captured the photo while she was in her most vulnerable state.

She humorously confronted her husband and stated that they have an issue to resolve.

The 45-year-old movie star wrote,

“So all of you saying my hubby is calm, he is calm, can y’all see what he did to me this early morning 😂😂😂

Waking up for Sari is not easy!!! I am coping very well with fasting but you see that waking up to cook & chop early momo, is a struggle 😂 Sleep just won’t leave me alone!

May almighty Allah accept all our sacrifices as an act of ibadah, forgive all our sins, answer all our prayers, continue to bless us and reward us with good deeds 🙏🙏
