2. Bill Gates Scholarship (The Gates Scholarship)

The prestigious Gates Scholarship is intended high performing students with great academic records, seeks to support students’ full cost of attendance as specified by their college or university in the United States. The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to 300 of these student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.

3. Foreign FulBright Student Program

For international students who want to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree, the Fulbright Program offers scholarships. Scholarships may also be given for postgraduate studies without a degree. The grant pays for living expenses, textbooks, travel expenses, and health insurance.

4. AAUW International Fellowships and Development Grants for Women

Women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for the American Association of University Women – AAUW International Fellowships, which are awarded for full-time study or research in the country. For Masters, PhD, and postdoctoral students, the award is worth $18,000, $20,000, and $30,000, respectively. By September 30 of the previous year, applicants had to have completed the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree. They also had to have applied to their desired schools of higher learning before submitting their scholarship application.

5. Harambe Fletcher Scholarships for African Students in USA

Harambe Fletcher Scholarships is a fully funded tuition fee award for young African entrepreneurial leaders who intends to undertake a master program offered by Tufts University, the Fletcher School.
