Falz, well-known Nigerian musician and activist, has recently had knee surgery in the United Kingdom.
Falz, who is also known as “Bop Daddy,” revealed the news of his knee surgery through a video that he posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday evening, May 10th.

He revealed that he had injured his knee while playing football in November 2022 and after consulting with medical professionals, he was advised to undergo knee surgery.
Consequently, he traveled to the UK where he successfully underwent the surgery. Falz then took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to post a video of himself in the hospital and narrated his experience before and after the surgery.
On the 23rd, I went to play football, and I sustained a knee injury. And it’s pretty serious. On November 30th, 2022, I tore my ACL. My MRI came back, and it showed that there is a complete tear on my ACL. I have been advised to go into surgery to fix it, he narrated.
In the video, Falz asked for prayers from his fans, colleagues, and well-wishers, as he embarks on the journey to full recovery.
“Current situation. It’s a whole journey to being 100% back. Say a prayer for me,” he said.
