Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has been released on bail from the State Criminal Investigation Department custody, Panti, Lagos on Tuesday night.
It is worth mentioning that Seun had been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting a police officer a few days ago on Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

In a statement, Kuti’s lawyers had previously announced that he would be granted bail as per the Magistrate’s order.
The news was verified by his attorney, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, SAN, during a phone interview with The Punch.
“Yes, Ṣeun Kuti was released minutes ago,” he said.
A video capturing the singer outside the facility was also circulated online, showing fans and friends celebrating his release.
