Further delving into the topic, Rema elaborated that his preferred lyrics from his debut album ‘Rave & Roses’ are “love is not a source of income,” drawing inspiration from his own encounters. He went on to express that he refrains from defining love since each person must live their own unique version of it.

Additionally, Rema emphasized that numerous relationships in contemporary society revolve solely around materialistic advantages, which he finds disheartening. He expressed his aspiration to discover and live his own personal interpretation of love, as he hasn’t encountered it yet

“My favourite lyric in my album [is] ‘Love is not a source of income’. It came from my actual experience. A lot of relationships in our new generation is just really all about the gains.”

It’s painful that I can’t really define love. You’ve to live your own version. I have not lived my version. I’m waiting for it though.” He said.
