Amaka Roberts, a 37-year-old Nigerian woman, has married her Romanian husband after just 5 months of meeting online.
Amaka had given up on finding love after years of heartbreak, but she says she met her match on a dating app in March 2023. Just two weeks later, her new boyfriend asked for her parents’ permission to marry her.

Amaka’s father was initially skeptical, but he eventually agreed after praying about it. The couple’s traditional wedding took place in Nigeria on August 4, 2023, followed by a church wedding on August 12.
Amaka’s husband’s parents were unable to attend the wedding in person due to his father’s health, but they watched the ceremony live online.
Amaka says that she is incredibly happy to have finally found her soulmate, and she credits God with bringing them together.
“God never comes late,” she said. “He only has His own timetable, and He follows it dutifully.”
