The Nigerian Police Force has issued an update regarding the autopsy findings of the well-known Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

As previously reported, the police had exhumed Mohbad’s body to conduct a post-mortem examination after the singer’s untimely passing on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27. He was laid to rest in Ikorodu, Lagos State, the following day.

Mohbad’s passing has triggered various reactions, with some Nigerians raising suspicions about his former employer, Naira Marley, and music promoter, Sam Larry, regarding his demise.
However, the Police, through their X platform (formerly Twitter) account, announced that the autopsy was successfully completed without any issues. They also assured the public that further details would be shared once the results become available.

The Police statement, titled ‘Mohbad: Autopsy Update,’ reads: “The Nigeria Police Force wishes to inform the public that the autopsy procedure for Mr. Mohbad has been successfully completed. Further information will be provided as soon as the results are available.”

Meanwhile, Senator Ishaku Abbo, representing the North Senatorial District of Adamawa State, has pledged that anyone found guilty in connection with Mohbad’s death during the ongoing police investigation will face legal action.
Senator Abbo, who chairs the Senate Committee on Entertainment Economy, visited the family of the late artist along with Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh to offer condolences.

He stated, “I’m here to console the family. When we heard of your son’s death and the controversies that appeared on social media, we felt it was important that we come here to console your family.” Senator Abbo assured that the Nigeria Police would take legal action against anyone responsible for the artist’s death, emphasizing that the law applies to all.
