Alhaji Kareem Adepoju, a renowned Nollywood actor widely recognized as Baba Wande, has revealed his experience of betrayal by veteran filmmaker Tunde Kelani.

Baba Wande revealed that he and Tunde Kelani had a verbal understanding that entitled him to receive 30% of the profits from the initial installment. Regrettably, he was only given a paltry sum of 15,000 out of the total earnings of 180,000.

Expressing his shock and deep disappointment, Baba Wande said,

“I was taken aback and greatly demoralized when I received 15,000 through Kelani’s manager from the total sum of 180,000 we made from the initial sales.”

Furthermore, Baba Wande disclosed that Kelani, who was previously a close friend, rationalized this situation by asserting that it was necessary for others to also benefit from the profits.

Nonetheless, Baba Wande found Kelani’s actions disheartening, which ultimately prompted him to abandon the plans for Part 2 of the movie, thereby leaving the story unfinished.

Expanding on his thoughts, the iconic actor advised current actors and actresses to create films that will retain their relevance over the years, rather than promoting nudity in society.
