He deserves justice for the bad names you people are calling him! Besides, If you were Ogundiji – will you not have done the same things he did?”

Femi Adebayo Sold His Properties to Fund “Jagun Jagun” Movie

Nigerian actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has revealed that he sold some of his properties to finance the production of his latest movie, “Jagun Jagun.”

In a recent interview, Adebayo said that he wanted to avoid seeking funding from financial institutions or individuals, so he used the earnings from his previous movie, “Agbeshinkole,” to fund “Jagun Jagun.”

“Jagun Jagun is a multi-billion naira project and I can’t say the exact amount I spent on it,” Adebayo said. “But I can tell you that I faced financial challenges at some point. However, I believed in the project’s potential and ended up selling some of my properties to make it happen.”

Adebayo also spoke about the challenges he faced while building the warrior school that was featured in the movie.

“We started the warrior school from the ground up,” he said. “The land posed a challenge as we initially intended to buy it. We reached an agreement and made the payment, but the landowner’s children later changed their minds. By the time we had constructed half of the school, the owner’s children, who had come from Lagos, insisted we halt construction. They were prepared to dismantle our progress, causing a delay of almost a week. We had to involve the police and local leaders, appealing to them. Eventually, we were advised to only film on the property rather than purchasing it.”

Despite the challenges, Adebayo said that he is proud of what he was able to accomplish with “Jagun Jagun.” He said that he hopes the movie will inspire other filmmakers to pursue their dreams, even if it means making sacrifices.
