Hon. Justice K.N. Ogbonnaya of a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Zuba, has remanded a woman named as Princess Helen Abang in Suleja Custodial Center for fabricating ownership of a two-story building with six units of three-bedroom apartments.
The woman who made claims to be the owner of the structure in the Federal Capital Territory’s Wuse Zone 6 at Plot 70, Yaounde Street also rented it out without the owner’s consent.

The home’s 80-year-old owner, Mrs. Elizabeth Ego Olejeme, reportedly discovered the trespass in 2006 and has been making attempt in vain to recover the property up until the trespasser was caught on November 7, 2022.
A bench warrant was issued for Abang’s arrest after she missed two court appearances.
Abdulrasheed Sidi, the prosecuting attorney, claims;
“The accused rented other 5 flats of the 3-bedroom and used the proceeds to fight the widow from recovering the houses since 2006.
She illegally trespassed on the property and has remained there till she was arrested on 7th November, 2022 and charged to Court.
On 7th November when the case came up for hearing, she refused to show up , but was moving from office to office in order to frustrate the case.”
In response to the seven counts that Hon. Justice Ogbonnaya read out, Abang, who was detained by the police following her arrest on November 7 and brought before a judge on November 22, 2022, made a not-guilty plea.
