A talent manager, Prince Theophiluz, has warned upcoming artists against signing to the 30BG, Starboy Record, or Spaceship record labels. He said that these labels are owned by established artists who are at the peak of their careers, and they do not have the time to nurture the careers of new artists.
Theophiluz cited the example of an artist who was signed to Davido’s record label after the release of his Timeless album.

The artist is now nowhere to be found, which Theophiluz says is a sign that the label did not give him the support he needed to succeed.
He also said that it is difficult for upcoming artists to make it in the music industry if they sign to a label that is already home to established artists.
This is because the label will be more focused on promoting the established artists, and the upcoming artists will get lost in the shuffle.
Theophiluz urged upcoming artists to be careful about who they sign with, and to make sure that the label is committed to helping them succeed. He said that it is better to sign with a smaller label that is willing to put in the time and effort to develop their career.
