In the previous round, held on August 14, 2024, IRCC sent out 3,200 invitations for the CEC. This program aims to attract skilled workers with Canadian work experience who wish to become permanent residents.

To qualify for the Canadian Experience Class, applicants must have at least one year of paid skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years before applying. This experience must be earned while on a valid work permit as a temporary resident in Canada. Volunteer work or unpaid internships do not count toward this requirement.

Candidates who gained work experience without proper authorization or while not on temporary resident status in Canada are ineligible for the program.

Additionally, two Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws were held in August 2024. The first draw took place on August 26, 2024, issuing 1,121 ITAs with a cut-off score of 694. The second draw was on August 13, 2024, with 763 ITAs and a cut-off score of 690.

The distribution of CRS scores among candidates in the Express Entry pool as of August 27, 2024, reflects the number of individuals competing for permanent residency. This data fluctuates as new profiles are added and others expire.
