Scholarship Details:
Students receive the International Major Entrance Scholarship (IMES) upon entering their first year at UBC. These scholarships can be renewed for up to three additional years of study, depending on available funding.
The number and level of scholarships awarded may vary each year based on the funds available.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible for consideration, you must meet the following criteria:
– Be a full-time, SECOND YEAR (200 LEVEL) degree student enrolled in any of the listed courses at Nigerian Universities (Please confirm the academic session you belong to before applying).
– The eligible courses are:
– Accountancy
– Agricultural Science

– Maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5.0 grade system or equivalent in other grade systems.
– Possess a minimum of six O-level credits obtained in a single sitting.
2. The NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture is offering scholarships specifically for blind/visually impaired SECOND YEAR (200 LEVEL) degree students enrolled in any course at Nigerian Universities.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
– Maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 on a 5.0 grade system or equivalent in other grade systems.
– Possess a minimum of five O-level credits.
Scholarship Duration and Reward:
– The scholarship period will cover September 2020 to September 2021 for the September set, and January 2021 to January 2022 for the January set.
– Recipients of the scholarship will receive a full tuition fee waiver for the year, along with a stipend of £8,000 paid over 12 months.
– Priority will be given to applicants who can provide evidence of refugee status, but the University may extend the invitation to apply to additional applicants.
Required Documents:
1. Before starting the application, make sure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents:
– Recent passport photograph (not more than 6 months old) with dimensions of 450px by 450px and file size not exceeding 200kb.
– School ID card.
– Admission letter.
– Birth certificate.
– O’ Level result.
– JAMB result.
– Local Government Area letter of identification.
2. Rename the documents appropriately to avoid any confusion during the upload process.
3. When prompted to upload documents, ensure that you attach the correct documents as specified.
Application Process:
Please note that applicants for the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship cannot apply for any other scholarship program sponsored by Chevron Nigeria Limited, its JV Partners, or any affiliates, including the Agbami scholarship program running concurrently with the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship program.
Application is open to full-time SECOND YEAR (200 LEVEL) students admitted in the 2021/2022 academic session. Please confirm your academic session before proceeding with the application.
Follow the steps below to apply:
1. Click on the “Apply Now” tab.
2. Register by clicking on “Register Now” and create an account.
3. Activate your account by following the instructions sent to your email.
4. Return to the scholarship site by clicking on this link: [https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2023CNLawards]
5. Log in with your registered email and password to upload your information.
6. Provide your personal information, including the National Identification Number (if available), educational details, other relevant information, and upload the required scanned documents.
7. Ensure that the names used in the application match the names on all documentation in the same order. If there is any discrepancy, upload a sworn affidavit or certificate to clarify.
8. Double-check all uploaded documents to avoid errors.
9. Upload a passport photograph with a white background when prompted to do so.
10. Review your application information to avoid mistakes.
11. Go back to the “Active Scholarships” section and select the scheme you want to apply for. Click on “Apply Now” to submit your information.
12. You will receive a notification on the screen and via email confirming the successful submission of your application. To confirm, check “My application” under the “My account” section on your profile.
13. Download your profile from [www.scholastica.ng] using your email and password. Have your Head of Department sign the document.
14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, which will be used for verification.
15. If you did not provide your National Identification Number (NIN) in step 6, obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)
- To obtain your National Identification Number (NIN), follow these steps:
- 1. Visit [http://ninenrol.gov.ng] to register and gain more information about the National Identity Number.
- 2. Click on “Create Account” and provide the required details in the provided fields.
- 3. Login using your email and password to complete the registration form.
- 4. Once the form is completed, schedule a date to have your photo and fingerprints captured.
- 5. Visit any of the 37 capture centres listed at [http://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres] to finalize the registration process and receive your National Identity Number.
- 6. Alternatively, you can complete your registration entirely at the NIMC office.
- 7. Return to [www.scholastica.ng] and update your scholarship application with your National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure its completion.
- Note: Submitting multiple applications may result in disqualification penalties imposed by the Scholarship board.
