During a Ramadan lecture and special prayers hosted by herself and her husband, Nigerian actress Mercy Aigbe announced that she has converted to Islam, the religion of her husband Kazim Adeoti.
Aigbe had previously disclosed that she was fasting during the month of Ramadan alongside her husband.

In the course of the interview, the actress, who is a mother of two, disclosed that she has embraced Islam and adopted a new name.
“Insha Allah, My new name is Hajia Meenah Mercy Adeoti. Meenah with the H,” She said.
